Black Friday iPhone 2026 takes place in Switzerland on Friday 27 November 2026, with the first deals arriving as soon as Black Week kicks off on Monday 23 November. The best discounts rarely land on the newest model: the iPhone 17, iPhone Air and iPhone 16 are the ones to watch. Here is the current line-up, the reference prices and the discounts we saw in 2025.
Black Friday 2026 falls on Friday 27 November 2026 the day after Thanksgiving. For the iPhone, as for the rest of tech, the deals are no longer limited to a single day though. Some retailers already test their prices on Singles' Day, Wednesday 11 November, and most carriers and retailers then launch their promotions during Black Week, from Monday 23 to Sunday 29 November. Cyber Monday 2026 on Monday 30 November 2026 gives you one last chance online, often with weekend deals extended. Discounted smartphones sell out fast, so it pays to have picked your model and storage size before the big day.
The line-up has changed a lot this year. In September 2026, Apple unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, but no regular iPhone 18: based on current information, it will only arrive in spring 2027, along with an iPhone 18e and a new generation of the iPhone Air. Apple also dropped the iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max from its range and raised the price of the remaining models by CHF 100 because of soaring memory costs. On the Swiss Apple Store, the iPhone 17e now starts at CHF 699, the iPhone 16 at CHF 799, the iPhone 17 at CHF 899 with 256 GB, the iPhone Air at CHF 1099, the iPhone 18 Pro at CHF 1199 and the iPhone 18 Pro Max at CHF 1299.
For everyday use, the iPhone 17 is still the best all-rounder, with its 6.3-inch 120 Hz display, A19 chip and 48-megapixel dual camera. It sold for CHF 799 at launch in 2025, a handy benchmark for judging a discount. On a tighter budget, the iPhone 17e, released in March 2026, packs the same A19 chip into a simpler 6.1-inch design, without the 120 Hz display or Dynamic Island. The iPhone Air will appeal to anyone who wants a very thin and light phone with a 6.5-inch screen. The iPhone 16 is still worth it if it drops well below its usual price. And if you have your heart set on an iPhone 17 Pro, keep your eyes open: retailers are clearing their last stock, and end-of-line models are exactly where shops are most willing to cut prices.
The iPhone 18 Pro has been on sale since 18 September 2026, so it will be barely two months old by Black Friday. It brings the new A20 Pro chip, a main camera with variable aperture and a 48-megapixel telephoto lens, at 6.3 inches for the Pro and 6.9 inches for the Pro Max. The big news this autumn, though, is the iPhone Duo, the first foldable iPhone: a 7.6-inch inner display, a 5.4-inch outer display and a starting price of CHF 1999, on sale from 23 October 2026. On models this new, don't count on big direct discounts. Last year the iPhone Air was the exception: just weeks after launch, Fnac was selling it for CHF 100 off. For this year's models, the savings mostly come from carriers, with a subsidised handset on a subscription, or from a good trade-in value for your old iPhone.
To know what to expect, the best guide is last year's edition. During Black Friday 2025, Fnac offered the 256 GB iPhone Air for CHF 899 instead of CHF 999, a 10 % discount on a model that had only just come out, as well as a refurbished iPhone 14 for CHF 429 instead of CHF 499. At Sunrise, the 128 GB iPhone 16 dropped to CHF 524.25, a price that had only dipped below CHF 600 once before. Fust, for its part, put the iPhone 16 front and centre in its Black Friday smartphone deals. The same pattern repeats every year: last year's models and end-of-line stock see the steepest cuts, while new releases get ten percent off at best.
In 2026, the iPhone 17, iPhone Air, iPhone 16 and the last iPhone 17 Pro units in stock are therefore the most likely to be on offer. These are not promises, but leads worth following from the start of Black Week.
There are two main types of sellers. On one side, the electronics retailers that sell the iPhone without a subscription, such as Media Markt, Fust, Fnac, Interdiscount or Galaxus, not forgetting Manor in its department stores. These are the ones to compare if you want an unlocked iPhone with no strings attached. Check the online and in-store prices at the same retailer, which are not always identical, and use click and collect when it is offered.
On the other side are the carriers. Sunrise, Salt, Swisscom and yallo often bundle a discounted iPhone with a subscription, and Black Week is one of their busiest times of the year. Smaller brands like CHmobile, Lebara or Mucho focus mainly on low-cost plans: a good option if you buy your iPhone outright elsewhere and want to cut your monthly bill. A carrier deal often shows an iPhone at a knockdown price, sometimes just a few hundred francs, in exchange for a 24-month commitment. That makes sense if you were planning to switch plans anyway, but the real price is hidden elsewhere. Add up what you pay for the handset, any activation fees and the monthly fee multiplied by the length of the contract. Then compare that total with the price of the iPhone bought outright plus an equivalent SIM-only plan. Also check whether the promotional rate applies for the whole contract or only for the first few months. Depending on how you use your phone, buying the iPhone outright on Black Friday and pairing it with a cheap plan can work out cheaper over two years, and you stay free to switch carriers whenever you like.
Start noting the price of the iPhone you want at several retailers right now, with the right storage size: it is the only way to know on the day whether a discount is real. A crossed-out price based on the launch price says very little, especially this year with Apple's CHF 100 increase. Then think about trading in your old model, which can lower the bill far more than any percentage on a price tag: in autumn 2026, mobilezone was for example offering CHF 490 for a 256 GB iPhone 16 Pro with no signs of wear.
Refurbished phones are also worth a look if you want to spend less, as long as you check the stated grade, the battery condition and the warranty period. Finally, Apple hardly ever cuts its own prices: during its shopping event at the end of November 2025, it offered a gift card with certain models such as the iPhone 16 or iPhone 16e in several countries instead.
