Black Friday 2027

When is Black Friday 2027 in Switzerland?

Black Friday always takes place the day after Thanksgiving, the American holiday celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. In 2027, Thanksgiving falls on Thursday 25 November, so Black Friday is on Friday 26 November 2027 and Cyber Monday on Monday 29 November. Switzerland follows the same American calendar, which means the date always lands somewhere between 23 and 29 November. If you like to plan well ahead, Black Friday will fall on Friday 24 November in 2028, Friday 23 November in 2029 and Friday 29 November in 2030. That year, Cyber Monday will even slip into December, on Monday 2 December. If you'd like to know more about where the day comes from, have a look at our page What is Black Friday?

Black November 2027 in a nutshell

Black Friday stopped being a single Friday a long time ago. In Switzerland, many shops spread their deals over several weeks, which is why people now talk about Black November. Things often get going as early as Thursday 11 November 2027 with Singles' Day. This shopping day comes from China, and some Swiss retailers use it to launch their first offers two weeks before Black Friday. It's a good chance to compare prices for the first time. The heart of the event is Black Week, from Monday 22 to Sunday 28 November 2027. Many shops launch their deals on the Monday, and some even refresh them every day, so the best prices don't necessarily land on the Friday. Even so, Friday 26 November remains the highlight of the week, online and in store, with offers that sometimes last a single day or just a few hours. With a shopping list ready in advance, you'll be able to move fast. Cyber Monday on Monday 29 November brings the period to a close. It belongs mostly to online shops, which go for last-minute offers or extend their weekend promotions. And since there are 29 days between Black Friday and Christmas in 2027, you'll have plenty of time to buy your gifts at reduced prices while leaving room for delivery and exchanges.

What deals can you expect for Black Friday 2027?

Shops will announce their 2027 promotions bit by bit, usually from the autumn onwards. So we can't tell you yet which products will be discounted or at what price. Recent editions do, however, show pretty clearly which categories are worth watching. Electronics remain the great Black Friday classic in Switzerland, whether you're after a smartphone, a TV, a computer, headphones or a games console. Autumn's new releases are rarely the most heavily discounted, and it's often the previous generation that offers the best value for money. Swiss mobile operators also regularly tempt customers during Black Week with cut-price subscriptions. Here it pays to look closely, because a low price for the first few months can be offset later by a higher monthly fee, so always work out the total cost over the full length of the contract. Home appliances are worth a look too if you were planning to replace a vacuum cleaner, coffee machine or washing machine anyway. Factor in delivery and installation costs and the collection of your old appliance, as they can noticeably change the final price. In fashion, beauty and perfume, discounts often apply across a wide range, which makes it the perfect moment to start thinking about Christmas presents. As for bigger purchases for your home, such as furniture and decor or a new mattress, it's best to plan them in advance and check dimensions and delivery times.

Which Swiss shops are taking part in Black Friday 2027?

It isn't officially known yet which shops will take part in 2027. We'd rather tell you that honestly than present unconfirmed deals as a sure thing, and we'll update this page as soon as the first official announcements come in. In the meantime, a few names are worth following closely. For fashion, beauty and homeware, Manor is a great place to start. For electronics and appliances, Media Markt, Fust and Nettoshop are must-sees, as are the brands Samsung and Dyson if you already have a particular device in mind. For mobile subscriptions, the simplest approach is to compare the offers from Sunrise, Salt and yallo, and if you're thinking about a new mattress, keep an eye on Emma too. As a partner of the Shopp Swiss initiative, blackfriday.ch only features businesses that employ staff in Switzerland. You'll find all our partner shops on our Shops page.

How to get ready for Black Friday 2027

The best bargains are prepared well before 26 November. Start by writing down what you really need, as that's your best protection against impulse buys. Then, from September or October, note the usual prices of the products you're interested in. It's the only way to tell, when the big day comes, whether a discount is genuine. Set yourself a budget and stick to it, even when an offer supposedly only has a few hours left. When comparing, it's always the total price that counts, including delivery and installation or, for a subscription, the cost over the full length of the contract. And before you order, take a moment to check the terms: return period, warranty and availability. To make sure you don't miss a thing, you can sign up to our newsletter or our WhatsApp alerts. That way you'll know straight away when an offer matches your list.
